Following the incredibly sad events that unfolded in Bondi last night, we understand that many families in our community may be feeling unsettled, anxious, or unsure about attending park competition today.
At this stage, OzTag will be going ahead as scheduled this afternoon. We feel it is important not to allow fear to dictate our community sport, and for many of our children, being able to attend their games provides comfort, routine, and a positive distraction during what is a very difficult time.
That said, we completely respect that families will make the decision that feels right for them. There is absolutely no pressure for players or families to attend if they are feeling unsure, and we ask that you please support and reassure your teams of this.
We will continue to remain vigilant and follow any advice provided by authorities. Should anything change, we will communicate immediately.
